We proudly offer individual lessons, group instruction, clinics, and golf schools. Lessons are provided by our PGA professionals on staff and instruction is conducted in a private, grassed area of our practice facility. Be sure to ask about corporate golf schools specifically designed for companies who choose to use golf as a vehicle to entertain customers, or engage in team-building within their organization. Ian Rudd
ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL
Growing up in Issaquah, Washington, Ian played golf for Bellevue Christian High School. After attending Washington State University as a Music Education major, Ian was redirected on his career path towards the Golf Industry. After spending five years with Dick’s Sporting Goods as a club fitter and service specialist, he spent one year with The Home Course in DuPont, WA, and quickly discovered how fulfilling and fun the golf industry can be to work in.
Once transitioning to Indian Summer, Ian spent one year working in the golf shop and one year with the ground’s crew and has now transitioned into the pro shop to be the Assistant Golf Professional. Ian loves what he gets to do every day, and teaching is his #1 passion in life.

Kayla Monroe
INSTRUCTOR
Kayla grew up in Tumwater, Washington where she played golf for Tumwater High School earning many honors during her playing career. Following high school, Kayla continued her golf career at Lewis-Clark State College where she also earned her Bachelors in Elementary Education with a Math Minor. After graduating from Lewis-Clark State, Kayla started her teaching career at Kellogg High School where she taught math and coached the boys and girls golf teams. After spending three years at Kellogg she moved back to Thurston County where she taught and coached for four years at Rochester High School.
Kayla knew that she wanted to take the next step in her golf career so she decided to start the process to become an LPGA Teaching Professional. Along with this journey, Kayla is now the Head Women’s Golf Coach at Centralia College. She brings enthusiasm for the game of golf and the life lessons that it can teach.

Shane Harvey
GOLF OPERATIONS MANAGER
Growing up in Olympia, Washington, Shane began his golf journey at River Ridge High School. After graduating, he joined the team at The Golf Club at Hawks Prairie, which he grew up less than a mile away from. In 2019, Shane joined the team at Indian Summer Golf & Country Club. During that time, he found a new appreciation for the care that so many have not only for the game of golf but for the course that players call home. The experience Shane gained during this time was invaluable in learning all aspects of running a successful golf course. In 2024, he returned to The Golf Club at Hawks Prairie, the place that he calls his “home away from home.”
For 15 years now, Shane has made a career out of helping others enjoy this wonderful game we call golf. From junior camps to charity tournaments, men’s club to women’s club, sunrise followers to sunset chasers, Shane’s passion has been operating a golf course where every day is a great day.
